Biologic crystals and particles produced in tissue culture. I. Introduction.
نویسنده
چکیده
A method for the cultivation of embryo chick tissues which gave rise to numerous and unusually large crystals and particles is detailed. Forms were helical, tubular, ribbon-like, hexagonal, rhomboidal, and filamentous. Rhomboids and hexagonals often had surface areas several times the size of the broad and flat tissue-cultured cells, and helices were observed up to 300 @ in length. Transformations of helical and related forms were observed. Their chemical identity could not be determined by conventional cytochemical technics. With modifications, however, helical and related forms were shown to give a positive reaction to pyronin staining which was inhibited by prior digestion in ribonuclease.

The theory of contact mechanics deals with stresses and deformations which arise when the surfaces of two solid bodies are brought into contact. In elastic deformation contact occurs over a finite area. A regular method for determining the dimensions of this area is Hertz Contact Model. Appearance of atomic force microscope results in introduction of Contact ...

biologic crystals and particles (BCP) in this report were shown in the first paper of this series (13) as large (up to 300 z in length) RNA-staining objects (pyronin response; controlled by RNase) which appeared in cul tures of chick embryo tissues viewed by phase-contrast microscopy. Their pleomorphic shapes were described as either semirigid tubules, right-handed helices (12), ribbons, rhombo...
متن کاملI-16: Assessment of The Vitrified Ovarian Tissue in Long Term Culture
In vitro culture of human ovarian tissue the following cryopreservation is proposed for follicular development. There are no techniques that guarantee successful maturation of the follicles within the excised tissue. The viability of cultured human ovarian tissue improved by adding some growth factors to the culture media. The efficiency of vitrification as the cryopreservation method for human...

Introduction Perforation of maxillary sinus mucous membrane is of the most prevalent complication during open sinus lift surgery. Moreover, such complication can usually be managed by an absorbable membrane. As far as absorbable membranes are concerned, decellularized maxillary sinus mucous membranes, which is an extracellular matrix, can be used as a biologic scaffold and insulating membrane ...
